I heard a saying once, “Take care of your body, it’s the only place you have to live” and I couldn’t agree more.
It’s been 4 days since I’ve had my cold and I’ve been unable to function normally with my routine out of whack. I think I caught it from DH, but poor him, he still has to go to work.
With me, it always starts the same way – exhaustion. I’ve been traveling a lot lately, flying in and out of the country for a project that has taken up most of my energy (more on that later).
I’ve got 4 flights coming up in the next two weeks and I’m kicking myself again for being so stupid and falling sick over a TV show!
After a really late night of watching House of DVF until 3am, my immune system finally raised its white flag and I was flat out the next day. It must be the age too, I can’t seem to do late nights anymore like I used to.
So back to health. You can work yourself to the ground, but in the end if you can’t pick yourself up and wreck your body in the process, then really whatever you’re doing is not worth it.
As for me, I really need my health back pronto and am doing a regime of drinking lots of water and bed rest.
No antibiotics needed but definitely some Clarinase which a few dedicated girlfriends sent me yesterday. (In Jakarta, it’s hard to get over the counter drugs – that’s another post that I’ll need to do.)
Life tip of the day:
Drink, drink, drink and pee those germs out.
